Ingredients:
Bread (8-10 slices)-crusts removed
Nutella
16 oz fresh cream
8 fl oz milk
4 eggs
5oz caster sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
Method:
- Cut off bread crusts.
- Nutella the bread on both sides.
- Lay the bread out in a deep rectangular dish, layering each time until the dish is filled.
- Heat the milk and cream in a sauce pan over a medium heat.
- Whisk the eggs and caster sugar in a bowl.
- Pour eggs and sugar mix into the cream.
- Pour the cream mix over the bread ensuring the corners receive the same as the centre so as to fully cover all the bread.
- Allow to soak for 30 mins.
- Put the dish into a larger tray or dish with water acting as a water bath.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the dish so as to give a crunchy texture
- Put into the oven until golden brown on top.
